This reputation has stood the test of time from our very first Golf Pro, "Popeye" Lumpkin, to PGA Hall of Fame, Lanny Wadkins, and his brother, PGA and PGA Champions Tour Winner Bobby Wadkins, and John Rollins, a three-time PGA tour winner.
Whether you're a competitive player or you just play for fun, the proven techniques of our PGA Pro continue to hone the game for golfers at every level. To continue to develop great players from a young age we offer our youth members free Junior Golf Clinics.
Guests and members tell us that our Meadowbrook's golf course is one of the best in the area, with 18 holes of golfing pleasure on one of the most beautiful Championship courses in Richmond, VA. If you play golf for fitness, you'll find that our Meadowbrook course is a traditional walker-friendly course.
After playing on our beautiful tree-lined fairways, it won't take long to see why many of our golf members have remained with us for more than 30 years, and why aspiring golfers flock to our courses.

Club History
Organized and incorporated in 1957, Meadowbrook County Club is a private member-owned club that has been one of the tightest golf communities south of the James. Meadowbrook is conveniently located off of Chippenham Parkway in North Chesterfield, and approximately ten minutes from Downtown Richmond, VA.
Present day Meadowbrook Country Club rests on what was once Meadowbrook Farm, which was a large and historic estate owned by one of Virginias earliest settlers, The Jeffress Family. On the estate was a Tudor Mansion once occupied by the Jeffress Family. This mansion served as Meadowbrook's first Clubhouse until it was destroyed by fire in January, 1967, and replaced with our current clubhouse in April, 1969.

Clubs Within The Club
Retired Association of Meadowbrook
RAMS
An organization of retired male members. The group has elected officers. This group of age 50+ golfers compete each Thursday morning. The RAMS also conduct monthly social events, organize outside events with other clubs and execute annual large group trips to other golf destinations. The RAMS also participate in the Richmond Seniors Golf Organization.
Meadowbrook Women's Golf Association
MWGA
The MWGA has elected officers. They conduct weekly play on Tuesday mornings (18 holes) and Wednesday mornings (9 holes) from April to October. They also play on Saturday morning throughout the year, weather permitting.

Women's Club
The Meadowbrook Women's Club meets monthly September through May and has elected officers. The daytime group convenes on the first Wednesday of the month at 10AM. The "Ladies of the Evening" meet the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30PM. These ladies engage in many social and service activities and contribute to the beautification of the club.

This organization's mission is to continue the restoration and improvement of the Meadowbrook Country Club Gillette Gardens making it an attraction for outside events.

Bridge Club
Many members meet at the club for weekly bridge. There is play on Tuesdays and Thursdays at various times.

Meadowbrook's Monthly wine tasting club now has over 45 members who are enjoying wine tasting, educational forums, gourmet dinners and the camaraderie offered by enjoying and sharing reactions to the world's greatest beverage.
